My Double Ninth Festival

The Double Ninth Festival is on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. Thefestival has been designated（设计） as Senior People’s Day, a day when the older members of society can have some fun.

The Double Ninth Festival is also a time for family get-togethers.This year’s Double Ninth Festival is on the seventh of October. I visited my grandparents. I peeled（削皮）apples for them and Iwas so glad that I could have an opportunity（机会） to show them my new skills（技能）. They were very happy and said that the apples were very sweet and they were the tastiest apples they have ever had. And then, we invited them to dinner. We went to a restaurant that serves roasted ducks（烤鸭）. We thought it was very delicious（美味的） and ate a lot. My grandparents said, ‘It’s so yummy!’ and he was very delighted（高兴的）. I was happy that we all liked it a lot.Last year, my grandfather got sick（生病的）. it was a very tough（艰难的） year for him to have surgery（手术） and medical treatment（治疗）. But fortunately（幸运地）, he is getting better and better. I wish them longevity（长寿） and health.
